Japanese BBQ Bacon Mushroom Cheeseburgers

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp garlic

  • 1 Tsp chicken bouillon powder

  • 1 egg

  • ½ lb ground beef

  • 1 lb ground pork

  • ¼ cup bread crumbs

  • ½ cup Japanese bbq sauce

  • 2 tsp chili crisp

  • ½ lb mushrooms

  • 1 small onion

  • ¼ cup ketchup

  • ½ lb bacon

  • 8 asiago buns

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise

  • 4 slices havarti cheese

Preparation

  1. Prepare sauce. Mix ¼ cup ketchup with ¼ cup bbq sauce and 1 tsp chilli crisp and set aside.

  2. Make Toppings. Cook bacon, then cook mushrooms in a pan with 1 tsp garlic, salt and pepper, ½ onion, and set aside.

  3. Make burgers. Combine remaining ingredients except cheese, mayo and buns in a large bowl and knead with hands until combined. Cook burgers in a frying pan until underside releases, flip and add havarti cheese. Continue cooking until cooked through. Toast buns before assembly.
